Selgiene Ultra - Virucidal Cleaner
For many years we have stocked an extensive range of Selden Research products, a well-established British manufacturer and developer of cleaning products as we find their products are manufactured to a very high standard. Selgiene Ultra is one of Seldens flagship virucidal cleaners which conforms to EN 1276 and EN 14476; the latter being the key classification required to prove a product is effective against viruses such as COVID-19 and MRSA, as well as its anti-bactericidal properties. The versatility of this product is endless and is a must for all who are concerned with ensuring their surfaces are kept virus-free.
Here is what you need to know:
- Selgiene Ultra is available in both a 5L and 750ml trigger spray
- C066 Selgiene Ultra (5L) and T066 Selgiene Ultra (750ml trigger spray) kills coronavirus with a contact time of just 30 seconds.
- Both products are certified to EN 1276 and EN 14476.
- T066 is a ready-to-use spray sanitiser, certified with a 1 minute contact time in dirty conditions.
- C066 is a concentrated sanitiser, which should be diluted at 1/25 with water, certified with a 1 minute contact time in dirty conditions.
- Both products can be used to clean and sanitise all hard surfaces.
How to use Selgiene Ultra:
Damp Wipe:To sanitise (clean and reduce harmful organisms to safe levels) in low-risk and visibly clean environments would be to fill a bucket with a 1/25 solution of C066 5 litre Selgiene Ultra. This should be used to rinse the cloth as the cleaning progresses, depositing the dirt and reducing the risk of surface transition via the wipe. Alternatively, use clean wipes on each surface.
Spray & Wipe:
Spray the wipe or the surface with T066 ready-to-use trigger spray. Ensure the wipe is saturated as you must spread the sanitiser evenly across the entire surface. This will clean the surface, kill bacteria and neutralise any virus as the solution left on the surface air dries over the next 1 minute or so. An important point to consider, as the solution air dries, only the water evaporates leavening the solution to become more concentrated.
Visibly Dirty or Higher Risk Areas:
To sanitise visibly dirty or higher risk areas or where there is a known case of COVID-19, a 2 stage process should be employed. T066 and C066 can be used for both stage one and stage two.
Stage 1 - Cleaning
Spray the cloth or the surface with Selgiene Ultra, then wipe the surface clean.
Stage 2 - Disinfection
Immediately re-apply the Selgiene Ultra to the surface or clean wipe, ensure the wipe is saturated, wipe the surface to spread the Selgiene Ultra evenly, and allow to air dry over the next 1 minute, the air-drying process should be considered as part of the contact time.
